Asphalt Paving Level 2

Objective

To assure that personnel responsible for inspecting asphalt pavement construction (paving and compaction) are familiar with FDOT specification requirements, good construction practices and equipment operation necessary to place and compact a Superpave mixture which will meet requirements for smoothness, texture, density, cross slope and thickness.

 Target Audience:

FDOT and contractor quality control personnel, quality control managers, roadway technicians, equipment operators, and paving supervisors

Class Duration

Three days. Trainees registered will attend two days of classroom sessions and will take the examinations on the third day.

Exam Requirements

A multiple choice, written exam is required
